To come up with our aggregate rating for each of our jewelers we scan through reviews from the most important sites to make sure we get a fair and balanced opinion. We also read through professional reviews to see what the experts have to say.
Enchanted Diamonds launched in 2012 and has built a solid reputation in the time since - especially from review sites like reviews.io and ivouch where Enchanted has a near perfect aggregate rating. Google and Yelp round out the review sites we look at, but neither has a significant number of reviews for Enchanted Diamonds – however, the reviews that do appear on these sites are generally very favorable.
For professional review sites, we looked at the reviews done by a number of diamond blogs including Beyond 4 C’s and Prosumer Diamonds. These blogs are not run by professional jewelers but they do provide additional perspective and factor into our overall rating.
After weighing all of the reviews we give Enchanted an overall rating of 4.68 out of 5 points. This is a strong rating and we noticed that most of the favorable reviews cite Enchanted’s HD images and cut score ratings, as well as the personal touches they provide through customer service. They also offer pretty much every perk you can imagine, including free expedited shipping, price matching, and a full lifetime warranty.
When it comes to finding the perfect diamond from the top online jewelers, we offer some great tools to help you sift through the noise. StoneAlgo only shows diamonds with real HD images from the top sites and includes light performance images when available. You can also see our custom ratings like match rating, cut quality, and savings – showing you how underpriced a diamond is compared to similar diamonds.
You can even track the price of any specific diamond over time to see if the dealer has been lowering the price, or if it’s a new diamond that just hit the market. You can even search for diamonds you’ve found elsewhere using nothing but a GIA number to see if one of the top online jewelers carries it for less. We also provide custom write-ups on over 500,000 diamonds so you know exactly what you’re buying. If it’s a diamond you want to buy, simply head over to the retailer and complete your transaction on their site.
One of the biggest reasons we wanted to show Enchanted Diamonds on StoneAlgo is that their ideology is very similar to ours – we both take a slightly more technical view of the diamond market and want to find new ways to quantify diamonds for the layperson. We have had lengthy discussions on the best way to achieve this, and both StoneAlgo and Enchanted have independently determined that scoring a diamond’s cut is a no brainer. Enter the Enchanted cut score. This cut score is totally independent from the StoneAlgo cut score, we have unique processes and don’t share information in calculating these. Think of it as a second stamp of approval when you find a great diamond on both sites – we’re both telling you that diamond has an amazing cut quality.
The main difference is that our cut score is on a 10 point scale, Enchanted’s is on a 100 point scale, and we use different information and formulas to arrive there. But the similarities are striking, there is a very strong correlation between our scores which leads us to believe that Enchanted has done just as much painstaking research as we have in solving this problem. It’s an awesome feature and we wish more online jewelers would follow suit.
